Experimentation I

An almost documentarian approach to portraiture — I sought to capture people in their environment while also keeping them aware of my presence and camera. I wanted to avoid posed posture and expression, although it is present in almost half of my images. While trying to create something documentary, I was inspired to make each image feel abnormal and unworldly.

THEOLOGY IN FILM: Point of View of a Christian Film Enthusiast
"What is praised today is abused tomorrow. They will forget you, me, everything".

The Portrait of a Modern Reformer
As a filmmaker with a heart for missions, I might believe that I am supposed to be a "world changer," but I am not responsible for fixing everything wrong in this world. Jesus is the Great Restorer, and He is the world changer. My job as a follower of Christ is first to rest in Him and then to follow. Only then will I learn that my role is to be the compassion and for Jesus to be the sacrifice.
